Hardly a stone is left unturned.

Taufkirchen - At the Taufkirchen Middle School, the demolition work of class wings A and B as well as the triple gym with heavy equipment will start in September. Much needs to be done in the meantime. Preparatory and gutting work is in full swing. According to Mayor Stefan Haberl, the demolition including disposal will cost around 1.3 million euros.

The site was secured with a two-meter high construction fence made of wood and steel trapezoidal profiles. Electricity, telecommunications, water, gas and district heating lines were then cut and dismantled. The administration of the middle school has temporarily moved into the permanent C-building. And the municipal works Taufkirchen have brought their peak-load system for district heating from the basement of the A-building to the Roßmais industrial park. Likewise, before the demolition, the fire alarm center and media technology with server must move into the existing class wing. The rest will be gutted by the demolition company Ottl from Alling.

Their construction workers officially took over the construction site on July 20th. Heavy equipment demolition is expected to begin in September. However, there is no longer a wrecking ball, says foreman Martin Sachskorn. "We do gutting, clean up pollutants, and when we are done here, we do the complete mechanical dismantling." The dismantled material will be stored separately and will completely become the property of the demolition contractor, adds Haberl. Recyclable materials are recycled, the rest disposed of. Only the concrete demolition "is crushed on the spot, temporarily stored locally and reused to fill the excavation pit".

In addition, an access from the north will be created. Instead of the now closed parish path, pedestrians and cyclists can use a newly constructed construction road west of the citizens' hall. A construction warehouse is also being set up for the active companies. This is mainly located to the south and east of the demolition site and will be integrated into the fenced construction site.

In the last week of school, 59 containers were set up on three floors one above the other in the schoolyard south of the C-building and connected to it. The result was a large, rectangular building in modular construction with around 33 by nine meters external dimensions and a total height of nine meters. Starting in September, an estimated 385 students will be taught in eight temporary classrooms, each made up of three containers, in the containers. A staff room, a technical room and six offices will also be accommodated here.

The contract was awarded to the Adapteo company from Frankfurt. "The interim pavilions will largely be equipped with the existing furniture and the existing whiteboards, but also with the media technology required today," explains the mayor.

The planned useful life is from September 2020 to July 2023. The costs for this amount to around one million euros over the entire period. "The modular system has been rented by the municipality and will be dismantled and removed from the construction site immediately after the lease period, including foundations and lines."

The furniture and inventory of the old school building and the more than 40 year old triple gymnasium were cleared out some time beforehand. As far as it can still be used, it will be used for the replacement rooms in the interim pavilions; the rest of the furniture that can still be used will be temporarily stored in the former Neuberhalle on Reckenbacher Straße. Worn and no longer reusable was sorted out and disposed of, explains Haberl. Part of the inventory was also sold online for the first time via eBay classifieds. “It went smoothly. 784.50 euros were earned. "

The new wing of the building, which is to be built by July 2023, will then even have five levels. The new gym will be rotated 90 degrees. Many clubs will use them, also for tournaments. Ten events take place here every year, says Haberl. In future, the school’s graduation ceremonies can also take place there, and the young people will no longer need to evade.
