Reiner Kastizen from Poing is organizing a charity run - but virtually because of Corona. The proceeds should go to the children and to the board.

Poing - Munich Marathon - canceled. Forest run in Anzing - canceled. The corona pandemic is currently making running events impossible. At least in bulk. Everyone can still run - this is where Reiner Kastizen comes in: He is organizing Poing's 1st virtual running weekend from Friday, September 11th to Sunday, September 13th. A fundraising weekend. Donations go to the Poinger Tafel and to the project "shining children's eyes" of the Ebersberg child protection association.

Rare opportunity for a sporting competition

Due to the Corona crisis, many running and sports events have been canceled or have to be canceled. "So that you haven't trained or trained for nothing, I would like to offer the opportunity for a sporting competition," says Kastizen. The 45-year-old Poinger is the main job team leader in the human resources department, and he also offers running training. To this end, he completed training as a running trainer, Reiner Kastizen has always been athletic: "I played football for 26 years, and in 2000 I started endurance sports." Among other things, ten years of triathlon. Since 2013 Reiner Kastizen has mainly focused on running, without competition character. “I just love running,” he says.

If you want to take part in the charity run weekend, you don't have to be an endurance athlete. As with real runs, fun is what counts in addition to the competition. Kastizen offers three route variants: five kilometers, ten kilometers and half marathon (21.1 kilometers). "Anyone who can take part, who can do the reported route and who is in good health," says Kastizen. Everyone is responsible for participation, as well as for compliance with the Corona rules while running. And for the honesty of the time he / she submits in the end.

Registration is now possible

Participation in the charity run weekend is free. All information on registration and the process is available on the Internet at www.running-base.de.

"100 percent of all donations go to the Poinger Tafel or the Ebersberg child protection association," promises Kastizen. Registration closes on Thursday, September 10th. The following information must be sent by e-mail to spendenlauf@running-base.de: first and last name, e-mail address, year of birth (for the age group evaluation), location or club or team (optional), length of the route. Of course, everyone can take part, whether from Poing or anywhere else. After confirmation of registration, Reiner Kastizen will send start numbers to the participants.

Prizes will be raffled among participants

After the weekend, the Poinger will create and publish the results lists based on the times communicated by the participants. Reiner Kastizen is giving away prizes such as running training, shopping vouchers and fitness food among all runners. The fun of running, of competing and of doing something good at the same time is something for every runner anyway.
