The Daraa Antiquities Department, in cooperation with the civil society and the Governorate Endowments Directorate, completed the restoration work of a Roman house in the city of Nawa and the minaret of the Al-Omari Mosque in the city of Inkhil.

Dr. Muhammad Khair Nasrallah, head of the Daraa Antiquities Department, stated in a statement to SANA that the Roman house of Yahya al-Nadhir in the city of Nawa represents one of the most important monuments of the Roman era, as it is distinguished by its arches, ribs, and geometric inscriptions that form the acantha leaf and one of the most important, pointing out that the restoration work The facade of the house and the columns were lengthened, and the gaps in the walls of the house were filled.

Nasrallah added that the department, in cooperation with the Directorate of Endowments, is close to completing the restoration of the minaret of the Al-Omari Mosque in Ankhil, which has been vandalized by terrorist acts, while the workshops continue to restore the minaret of the Al-Omari Mosque in the city of Sheikh Maskin and fill gaps in the Al-Omari Mosque in the city of Daraa.

Nasrallah referred to the cooperation of the people in the governorate in the restoration, as they work to support the workshops and participate in non-specialized work.
