The Director of Decision Support and Regional Planning in the Governorate, Eng. Abdul Razzaq Dumairiyah, confirmed in a statement to the Sana Mandawiya that the proposed residential suburb will serve as an alternative housing for citizens whose homes were damaged in the Wadi Barada area, provided that it is far from the immediate campus of the Ain al-Fijah spring without prejudice to the lands of the people and their ownership of it or cutting Of which.

Dameiriya revealed that the demographic study of the suburb and the number of beneficiaries of the population is ready, and currently work is underway to prepare an organizational plan for the suburb with all its services, noting that within a year at the most, all plans will be completed within the specified specifications, after which a public sector company will build them similar to the Qudsaya suburb.

According to Dumayriyah, the proposed suburb is located within Wadi Barada to the eastern side of Basimah and Ain al-Fijah and is located along Wadi Basimah, which is distinguished by the touristic, heritage and cultural elements. Distinctive for creating a new urban complex that meets the housing and development needs of the people and the region.

The Director of Decision Support indicated that the area of ​​the suburb is estimated at 50 hectares, and it is considered a unique tourist attraction and achieves an added economic value to the region, indicating that every citizen whose house was destroyed as a result of terrorism within the aforementioned area will be allocated a house within it.
