For the first time above German skies: The Air Force will fly over Dachau

The Air Force will participate this week in a joint exercise with the German Air Force, as part of which a "Memory of the Future" will be held today (Tuesday) over the Dachau concentration camp and over the Munich Airport "Firstenfeldbruck" in memory of the 11 victims of the Munich Olympics.

The decision to hold the exercise at this time stems from the need to continue training in unfamiliar contours, as part of maintaining the Air Force’s fitness. As part of the exercise, Israeli aircraft - six Barak (F-16) fighter jets, two Ram (Boeing 707) transport aircraft, and two Nachshon (Eitam) control aircraft - will land at Nörvenich base in Germany.
