Police arrested the captain and second in command of the Japanese vessel MV Wakashio that ran aground off the island of Mauritius in late July, spilling some 1,000 metric tons of oil. According to the company that owns the ship, Mitsui OSK Lines, both face charges for endangering safe navigation.
