Alberto Sololuze's family can now fire him. The forensic team that works on the analysis of the remains found on the slope of the Zaldibar landfill (Bizkaia) ―where Joaquín Beltrán and Alberto Sololuze had been missing since February 6 as a result of the collapse of thousands of tons of industrial waste and land - has confirmed that the remains belong to Sololuze. The find came after six months of searching. Sources of the investigation have confirmed that both the tibia and the objects found this Tuesday - a camera, a watch strap, sunglasses and a padlock - belong to the worker. Experts continue to work to find the remains of Joaquín Beltrán, the other missing employee.

Sources close to the investigation assure that "practically all the bones of the body" of Sololuze have been found. They were found under the plates of the scale, along with remains of clothing, the clock and remains of the shed.

The Basque Government's Security Department has confirmed to the Sololuze family and the judge investigating the cause that the result of the DNA test has been positive and the bone remains found belong to Alberto. The family had already identified the objects found next to the tibia as property of the worker.

Last Sunday, rescue teams found "a human bone remnant" wrapped in cloth. The bone was located 23 meters deep, the equivalent of "an eight-story building" high, and next to "elements of the scale," as explained by the Basque Government's Deputy Minister of Security, Josu Zubiaga.

The search has continued, in a much more localized way, in the last two days. In the beginning, for the works, four search areas were marked and the fourth is now, although there is still a lot to be traced.

His partner, Joaquín Beltrán, was, according to the hypotheses with which the rescue teams work, above the scale, with a truck. Joaquín must have been the first to feel the movement of the ground because he had time to warn his nephew before being dragged by tons of rubble.

The family spokesman, the lawyer Bernardo Sebastián, thanked all the teams that have worked in the search for Alberto and Joaquín, and explained that this fact does not change the judicial investigation that is being followed in the courts to determine criminal responsibilities , if there were any, due to the collapse of the slope that caused the death of the two workers. The three main persons responsible for the landfill are being investigated for possible criminal responsibilities for the collapse. There are aspects of landfill management that cast shadows and that will need to be clarified in both cases.

Sololuze's family was the only one who met with the Lehendakari on Monday after the discovery of the first bone remains. Beltrán's criticized that they had not received official information until they found out about the first news through the media.
