The wind in Hong Kong is strong and is expected to remain for a while in the early morning. The MTR overhead section will be temporarily suspended during the period when Typhoon Signal No. 9 is in effect. After typhoon signal No. 8 is re-issued, inspections are required and services will resume.

[09:30] The MTR stated that the inspection of the open-air section is still in progress. Because the road section is long, and during the inspection period, the construction vehicles need to drive at a slow speed for inspection, so it takes a while.

[08:25] The MTR announced that there are currently 4 lines that can upgrade services. The arrangements are as follows:

***Tsuen Wan Line: Central Station-Tsuen Wan Station every 10 minutes

***Kwun Tong Line: Whampoa Station-Tiu Keng Leng Station every 10 minutes

***Island Line: Kennedy Town Station-Chai Wan Station every 10 minutes

South Island Line: Haiyi Peninsula Station-Lidong Station, every 15 minutes

***Tseung Kwan O Line: Po Lam Station-North Point Station every 10 minutes; Lohas Park Station-Tiu Keng Leng Station every 15 minutes

Tung Chung Line: Hong Kong Station-Kowloon Station every 15 minutes

Disney Line in preparation; Airport Express Line in preparation; East Rail Line in preparation

Tuen Ma Line Phase I: Kai Tak Station-Diamond Hill Station every 15 minutes

West Rail Line: Hung Hom Station-Tsuen Wan West Station every 15 minutes

The open-air sections include all the East Rail Line, Airport Express Line, Disney Line, and Tsuen Wan Line from Tsuen Wan Station to Lai King Station, Kwun Tong Line from Choi Hung Station to Tiu Keng Leng Station, and Hong Kong Island Line from Heng Fa Village Station to Chai Wan Station , Tung Chung Line from Kowloon Station to Tung Chung Station, South Island Line from Admiralty Station to Lee Tung Station, West Rail Line from Tsuen Wan West Station to Tuen Mun Station, and Tuen Ma Line Phase I from Diamond Hill Station to Wu Kai Sha Station.

[03:53] KMB said that all bus captains, station masters, train service inspectors, and station assistants will stay at home and do not need to return to the factory to sign in. Except for the limited service provided by the 01 engineering vehicle of the Lai Chi Kok plant, all other early-shift staff shuttle buses of KMB will be temporarily suspended. The vehicle management team will release the details of the typhoon staff shuttle buses of each factory through the staff network at a later time.
