It is the oldest in Provence. Nestled between the Luberon, the Camargue and the Alpilles, near Salon-de-Provence, the Château de La Barben is no longer a heart to take. Since December 2019, it has been owned by entrepreneur Vianney d'Alançon. On the strength of his experience with the takeover of the Auvergne fortress of Saint-Vidal in 2016, whose historical shows welcome 40,000 visitors each year, he now wants to create a “cultural and natural park” in the thousand-year-old setting of this classified site.
“It's a sort of Puy-du-Fou, in the sense that it's a Provencal themed park,” explains the young man. But the approach is different, because it is a historic castle, on an emblematic heritage site, with the environmental and agricultural enhancement of its 400 hectare estate. ”
