After arriving at the rest area, the officers opened the truck bed and freed the four young men. Two of them were 25 years old, the other two 22 and 15. They came out of hiding exhausted and dehydrated. They received medical care.

As Bild.de reports, the driver of the vehicle could not explain how the refugees got onto the loading area. He would have received his summons four days earlier. Then he stood in Hungary for some time and took a nine-hour break before reaching Prague.

An interpreter was able to speak to the men and obtain further information. Accordingly, the men stated that they came from Afghanistan . They stayed in the vehicle for two days . After they were rescued, the four men were taken to a central reception center in Eisenhüttenstadt. The driver is investigated on suspicion of smuggling. However, there is no urgent suspicion.
