Protesters against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his supporters gathered tonight (Thursday) near a residence on Balfour Street, in two different areas. Unlike in recent weeks, a demonstration in support of the prime minister is taking place in Paris Square, while his opponents gather on a nearby Gaza street. Additional demonstrations against Netanyahu are also being held for the first time in Be'er Sheva and in Haifa.
The change in the centers of the demonstrations took place after the police earlier forcibly evacuated the protest tent near the residence on Balfour Street in Jerusalem, after the residents of the encampment refused to evacuate it.
The police explained the exchange by saying that Netanyahu's supporters submitted a request to demonstrate in Paris Square long in advance, while on the other hand - no other request was submitted.
Due to this, the encampment residents were asked to evacuate him temporarily until after the demonstration. The separation between the demonstrators takes place every week, in order to prevent friction between the parties. During the evacuation, former GSS chief Carmi Gilon was injured.

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered near the mother garden in central Carmel in Haifa. The demonstrators announced that they intend to hold a procession and walk about a kilometer along Moriah Boulevard towards Tzafririm Street, where they will hold a rally. Haifa police officers assisted by security forces and border guards. The traffic is flowing.
