Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - Rising corona infection numbers and warnings from the US Federal Reserve (Fed) with a view to the economic situation noticeably weighed on the German stock market on Thursday.

In addition, the trade dispute between the USA and China is simmering, and US President Donald Trump is also relying on confrontation when it comes to Iran. At the same time, there is nothing new in the stalled talks on an agreement between the European Union and Great Britain after the Brexit transition phase.

All of this feeds investors' economic worries. The Dax lost 0.91 percent to 12,859.19 points in early trading. The MDax fell by 0.59 percent to 27,241.46 points. The leading index of the Eurozone EuroStoxx 50 fell by 1.10 percent to 3,281.05 points.

Delivery Hero and Wirecard were in focus among the individual values after Deutsche Börse announced the evening before that the insolvent payment processor would have to leave Dax and TecDax on Monday. In return, as expected, the online food delivery service “Delivery” is included in the leading index and the laser specialist LPKF is included in the technology value index. In view of the lack of surprises, delivery in the MDax now went down by 2.0 percent.

The shares of Aixtron, which go up for delivery in the MDax, also fell and lost 1.2 percent. Hornbach Baumarkt, on the other hand, grew by 1.0 percent. From Monday they will replace the papers of the special machine builder for the chip industry in the SDax.

The concert organizer CTS Eventim and the real estate group TAG presented quarterly reports. The Corona crisis hit the CTS bitterly in the second quarter and they did not venture to forecast the rest of the year. However, this was not surprising. In addition, CTS should have better chances than others to emerge stronger from the crisis as soon as business is up and running again, said a trader. The shares gained 1.6 percent.

TAG jumped 5.5 percent. The real estate group continued to benefit from rising rents in metropolitan areas in the second quarter. The outlook for the current year was confirmed, although the forecast could be raised in the further course of the year. Numerous other real estate stocks benefited from this confidence: Aroundtown gained 1.3 percent and in the Dax, Deutsche Wohnen rose by 0.5 percent and Vonovia by 1.0 percent.

Schaeffler's shares with minus 6.4 percent and New Work with minus 3.0 percent brought up the rear in the SDax. The automotive and industrial supplier wants to raise fresh money through a capital increase and is therefore calling an extraordinary online general meeting in September.

The private bank Berenberg is now recommending the paper from the career network New Work for sale. The worst should be over, but job advertisements continued to decline, it said. Against this background, the share is valued too highly.
