(CNN) - - New images emerged of the altercation between Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri and an agent from the San Francisco Bay Area sheriff's office, which occurred after the Canadian team was crowned champion of the NBA last year.

The video, obtained by CNN, casts doubt on a claim by Deputy Sheriff Alan Strickland that Ujiri was the attacker in the exchange. Strickland filed a lawsuit for alleged assault.

Body camera footage shows the incident from Strickland's perspective, as Ujiri is seen trying to get onto the pitch to celebrate with his team.

As Ujiri reaches into his suit jacket to show all his login credentials, Strickland pushes him twice, grabs him by the suit, and tells him to "back off." Ujriri then pushes the agent back.

Another video shows the two men being separated, before Ujiri was allowed onto the court.

The images were included in a countersuit filed by Ujiri Tuesday in United States District Court in Oakland, California.

Ujiri alleges in the lawsuit that Strickland is perpetrating fraud, claiming that newly released body camera images show Strickland used excessive force.

“Without a doubt, the vast majority of law enforcement officers do not behave in this way. However, Mr. Strickland has chosen dishonesty over integrity. Motivated by greed (and perhaps revenge), Mr. Strickland continues to lie about his encounter with Mr. Ujiri in an attempt to support his frivolous lawsuit, ”the lawsuit reads.

Strickland filed a lawsuit in February against Ujiri, alleging that he had "suffered and will continue to suffer physical, mental, emotional and financial harm" as a result of the incident.

The lawsuit alleges that the officer suffered head, jaw, chin and tooth injuries from the altercation.

Ujiri described the lawsuit to the Canadian press in February as "malicious in a way."

He went on to say, “It's amazing to me that things develop like this. I think something incredible was taken from me and I will never forget it. It is one of the things that drives me to win another championship because I want to be able to celebrate a championship in the right way. This will be fixed. The truth will come out. The truth will come out of this.

On Tuesday, the Raptors released a new statement, commented on the new video and reiterated their objection to the original lawsuit.

“We are aware that this remains before the courts, but we have always maintained that the claims made against Masai are unfounded and totally without merit. We believe that the evidence in this video shows exactly that: Masai was not an aggressor, but was the recipient of two very violent and unjustified actions.

“The events of that night overshadowed what should have been a night of celebration and the year since. While the Masai has the full support of the Raptors and MLSE in their fight against this injustice, we are aware that not all people have similar support and resources. This is a bogus legal action that the MLSE, the NBA and especially the Masai should not face.

CNN has reached out to Strickland's legal team for comment and the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. When the incident first occurred, the sheriff's office defended Officer Strickland's actions and claimed that Ujiri was the assailant.

In October, the Alameda County District Attorney's Office said Ujiri would not face criminal charges.
