Iran: Europeans against the reinstatement of sanctions requested by Washington

France, Germany and the United Kingdom do not support the initiative taken at the UN by the United States to demand the reinstatement of international sanctions against Iran, accused of having violated the 2015 agreement on nuclear, according to a statement released Thursday by Paris, Berlin and London.

The United States triggered this so-called “ snapback ” mechanism as one of the “ participants ” in the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement (known as JCPoA).
