(CNN Spanish) - Maluma announced on Thursday night the release of 'Papi Juancho', his fifth album.

After becoming a worldwide trend on Twitter for closing his Instagram account, the Colombian singer reappeared on that social network and announced the new album in a live broadcast.

The album has 22 songs, written between Maluma along with Edgar Barrera, Kevin ADG, Chan «El Genio», Miky La Sensa, Vicente Barco, Juan Camilo Vargas, among others and they were made between Medellín and Miami. For this album, Maluma worked with The Rude Boyz on production.

Collaborations are also part of the production. In 'Parce', the single with which he announced the release, the singer collaborates with Lenny Taváres and Justin Quiles. Just over 10 hours after the launch, the video for 'Parce' already exceeds 2 million views on YouTube and is in the top 5 of trends worldwide on that platform.

Also featured are Darell, Jory Boy, Myke Towers, Ñejo & Dalmata, Ñengo Flow, Randy, Yandel, Yomo and Zion.

The singer attributed his disappearance from Instagram to this release.

«That's why I disappeared from Instagram. That was the only reason why I disappeared from Instagram. Because tonight [Thursday] I was releasing my album, I needed some time for myself, I needed to put all my energy, everything that I am, to this new release », he said.

«I feel very happy because this is my fifth album and you have not stopped supporting me. This year I turned 10 years making music. I started in 2010 and that must be celebrated, I feel that this year is one of rebirth. I have been reborn. I tell you with all my heart, from all aspects. From my personal and artistic side, I owe all this to all of you, "he commented.

At the beginning of the broadcast, the interpreter made reference to the comments on social networks about his song Hawaii and the possible recipient of the lyrics.

«I have to say it here, on this Live, [this song] we wrote as a combo. The first people who wrote the song were Keityn, Bull Nene, Micky, Édgar [Barrera] (…) Then they showed me the song in January and when I recorded the intro and the chorus, I immediately knew that the song had a chorus to be a song big. Beyond that, I was never inspired by any relationship that happened. It was never inspired by any event in my life, "he clarified.

“I know that many of you wanted that to happen, but no. I ended my last relationship calm, happy, everyone went to do what they had to do, everyone left for their own thing. I also made my life and I really wanted to make this song because I know that many of us feel identified, that is not because it happened to me. So don't invent, please, "he added.

The song was released the last week of July and debuted at number 10 on the Billboard Hot Latin Chart.

The production is now available on all streaming platforms.
