Last Saturday, August 15, the Puy du Fou, the renowned historical theme park of Philippe de Villiers, obtained a prefectural exemption within the framework of the performance of La Cinéscénie, his large-scale show which recapitulates the history of France. This decision sparked controversy: why did he have this privilege? Indignation was intended to be sanitary. But one could easily guess that, for many, this indignation hid another. Because since the start of the pandemic, the requirements related to health security have varied. It is enough to remember the “anti-racist” demonstrations in June to be convinced of this. They were tolerated and even encouraged in the name of "legitimate and planetary emotion" by Christophe Castaner. Apparently, we must wave the authorized ideological banner to rally in times of pandemic.
