A 40-year-old man died Thursday, August 20 in Vitry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne) following a stabbing attack, corroborating sources said Friday.

“ The victim was in his car when a man asked him to get out. They fought and he received a stab hit in the chest. He tried to drive 150 meters but he was the victim of discomfort following the assault, ”a source close to the investigation told AFP, specifying that the attack took place around 8:00 p.m.
The man, in cardio-respiratory arrest when help arrived, died shortly after the assault.
“ It's been ten years since we had to deal with this kind of homicide. We are shocked and we call for calm and respect for the mourning of the family, ”responded to AFP the entourage of Pierre Bell-Lloch, PCF mayor of Vitry-sur-Seine. The judicial police of Val-de-Marne is in charge of the investigation.
