Demonstrators against violence against women are holding protests tonight (Saturday) in several centers around the country. The demonstrations come in protest of the 16-year-old girl's suspicion of raping a hotel in Eilat, and after hundreds of people demonstrated in Tel Aviv and Haifa on Thursday.
About a hundred of them came to Habima Square in Tel Aviv, chanting "struggling, struggling, against violence against women" and "the government is
indifferent to violence against women."
The protesters demand, among other things, "a sensitive and effective investigation. No more statements of lack of public interest and investigations closed for lack of evidence; that a budget be transferred to the program in the fight against violence against women promised in 2017," and "a justice system whose focus is on victims ".
