It's frustrating: Hamas, a terrorist organization, sets the tone - and not us • This situation can not and must not continue • Our lives are hell • A resident of Sderot in a personal column

I am frustrated, I feel hurt - and I am very bad about the unsettled security situation in Sderot in particular and in the area in general.

We live in complete uncertainty, which is a recipe for an unhealthy life. And most frustrating is that Hamas, a terrorist organization, sets the tone - and not us. This situation cannot and must not continue. Worst, for us residents, that we do not know what will happen tomorrow. And the next day. Since the terrorist month of balloons and rockets, we have been going through difficult days.

And once again the voices of all those who make promises to eradicate terrorism are repeated. No one, from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Yair Lapid, Bnei Gantz, and even Amir Peretz, a resident of Sderot, has done almost anything but empty statements. And our lives are hell.

Living in Sderot is the most fun in the world and the most difficult, because of the terror that came to us from the snake nest in the Gaza Strip. We sanctify life, and they sanctify death, and that is the result. I have a 6-year-old child, he is hard of hearing, and he is being treated at a resilience center. This child is going through hard times in every red color - booms, interceptions and rocket fire. My kids have a very hard time sleeping at nights. And the worst thing is that they are afraid to enter the emergency room, because as much as it symbolizes personal security - it symbolizes all the evil in this situation.

A tense night in the Gaza Strip: A house was hit by gunfire at Sderot; The IDF attacked Hamas targets

Living a life of uncertainty is a terrible thing. The rocket on Thursday night landed on a house not far from my house, and this is not the first time. It greatly affects all residents. I went shopping on Friday afternoon. The streets are empty. Sderot is a city of joy, good and happy people, and on Friday the streets are empty, it says it all about their mood.

One of the problems we have been warning about for quite some time is that we do not hear the red color alarm. The affected landlords did not hear. I did not hear either, because the volume was lowered. Such a thing can end in great disaster. Is not all the suffering that is our lot enough?

This whole situation, is very disturbing to lead a normal family life. I, and many others, think it is time for our leaders to take responsibility for our lives and our security.

Bnei Gantz came, made promises and presented a belligerent spirit. So promised. It turns out he is no less furry than others. And it's a shame, there's just no one to trust.
