The Russian Space Agency, Ross Cosmos, announced today that the International Space Station crew has isolated themselves in the Russian part of the station following an air leak.
Sputnik quoted the Russian Space Agency as saying that the American part was closed to search for the location of the air leak, while a source confirmed that the frequency of air leakage is estimated at 220 grams of air every 24 hours, which corresponds to the existence of a 0.1 mm gap in the station's body.
Sources for the US space agency NASA previously reported that a leak was found last September, but its frequency has increased during the recent period.
Preliminary information to investigate this incident is expected to be published next week.
