The Public Institution for Drinking Water in Deir Ezzor put the Othmaniyah station in the Hawaiqa neighborhood liberated from terrorism, in service after the completion of its maintenance and rehabilitation as a result of its exposure to sabotage and theft by the terrorist organizations that were spread in the region.

The Director of the Foundation, Engineer Rabie Al-Ali, said in a statement to the SANA reporter that the station's maintenance work included the rehabilitation of all mechanical and electrical equipment in it in addition to the laying basins and metal and sand filters in parallel with the rehabilitation of the main and subsidiary networks associated with the station, which were linked to the electrical current in addition to the existence of a backup generation group working on Diesel, pointing out that this comes within the framework of the Corporation's plan to rehabilitate and operate all drinking water stations in the governorate.

The station director, Hassan Al-Ahmad, stated in a similar statement that the typical Othmaniyah station operates at a capacity of 160 cubic meters per hour and feeds the entire Huwaiqa neighborhood in its eastern and western sections, and is currently working on electric power and has a backup generating set for use in the event of a power outage.

It is noteworthy that the number of drinking water stations that have been rehabilitated and put into service has reached 61 stations spread over the entire area of ​​the governorate.
