(CNN Spanish) - Bayern Munich became champion of Europe this Sunday for the sixth time in its history, after beating Paris Saint-Germain of France 1-0 in the final.

The victory of those led by Hans-Dieter Flick came thanks to a goal from Kingsley Coman in the second half.

The German team, which reached the definition as a great favorite after having overwhelmed Barcelona with an 8-2, is the first team to win the Champions League title, having won all their matches. They defeated all their group rivals (Tottenham, Olympiacos and Red Star), and then left Chelsea, Barcelona and Lyon on the way.

The definition against PSG was difficult for Bayern. Robert Lewandowski, scorer of the tournament with 15 goals, warned in the first half with two dangerous shots: one hit a post and the other was held back by Costa Rican Keylor Navas. The Tico was in doubt for the final, having missed the semi-final against Leipzig due to a hamstring injury in his right leg.

Kylian Mbappé came close to opening the scoring for PSG in the 44th minute with a shot from inside the area, but the ball was pocketed in the hands of Manuel Neuer.

The zero to zero was broken in the 59th minute thanks to a header from Kingsley Coman, who left Navas without an option, after a perfect cross from Joshua Kimmich.

Thus, Bayern Munich became European champion for the sixth time. His last Champions League had been in 2013, led by coach Jupp Heynckes.

The Bavarian team's season leaves it with the Bundesliga Championship, the Pokal League Cup and the “Champions”, achieving the precious clover that few teams have achieved like Manchester United and FC Barcelona.
