The popularity of President Emmanuel Macron in August stood at 36% of favorable opinions, a figure in slight erosion (-1%) compared to the comparable survey carried out in July, according to an Ifop poll for Le journal du dimanche.

The percentage of dissatisfied with the action of the Head of State remains stable at 63%, according to the same opinion poll.
The popularity of Prime Minister Jean Castex suffered at the same time a sharp drop, going from 55% to 48% of favorable opinions, the rate of dissatisfied passing at the same time from 40% to 46%. Ifop believes in Le JDD that the Prime Minister is paying for the worry of the crisis, even though he has increased the number of trips during the summer.
This survey was conducted on August 19 and 20 with a representative sample of 989 people aged 18 and over using the quota method. The margin of error ranges between 1.4% and 3.1%.
