One of the boys suspected of involvement in the 16-year-old rape in Eilat, claimed that he was in solitary confinement to escape arrest - he told Walla! NEWS A source involved in the investigation. According to the same source, the suspect informed the team of juvenile detectives who had come to arrest him that he was in solitary confinement, and was transferred for questioning under special conditions. At the same time, investigators checked his medical status with the Ministry of Health, and found that he did not have to be isolated.

Attorneys Amit Weizmann and Shani Farjun, representing the suspect, said that "our client is a normative young man with no criminal record. As soon as the police arrived at his house he accompanied them as soon as he was asked to do so, and it never occurred to him to evade investigation."

According to the source involved in the investigation, some of the boys arrested today denied having sex with the 16-year-old. They even claimed that they were trying to prevent what was happening in that room in the hotel.
