Alberto Fernández's revelation about the supposed conversation he had with Mauricio Macri and the subsequent denial of the former president continue to generate a stir. This time the leader of the Civic Coalition, Elisa Carrió, came out to position herself at this junction, and she did so with an ironic tweet.

"Vulgarity and grievance only consolidate Together for Change. Thank you Alberto Fernández! ", The former deputy wrote on Twitter.

Carrió spoke after Macri affirmed that "the version" of the supposed talk he had with Alberto Fernández the day after the quarantine was decreed is false, in which - according to Fernández - the president, his predecessor, had recommended him not to decree quarantine and "let those who have to die die."

Also on Twitter, the leader shared a video in which she asked "not to play by the logic of the antinomy, it has done us too much damage."

"We must defend the center that unites us, which is the rule of law , which is non-violence and this does not mean giving up any fight. It is having intelligence, building solid institutions," he said.

"The dictatorship divides us, authoritarianism divides us, anarchy sows chaos, what is the mean always between the fear of anarchy and the fear of authoritarianism and dictatorship, of any kind, the rule of law, the Constitution, the nonviolence, peaceful demonstrations. It is not about confrontation, it is about convincing all Argentines that we have to live under the same roof, "he said in the video.

He also stated that "I tell the poor that if there are no taxpayers, there are no subsidies, it is not that the rich face the poor, if the people who earn money, have money and contribute are their taxes to the Nation ... If we all do not contribute with taxes to the Nation, there are no resources to subsidize people who are really poor or to feed people who do not have to eat. "

Alberto Fernández assured this Sunday that one day after having decreed mandatory isolation due to coronavirus -on March 20-, former president Mauricio Macri called him by phone and recommended that he not impose a quarantine in the country.

According to the Head of State in an interview with radio 10, Macri suggested that he leave "all the people on the street" and that "those who had to die should die."

"The day after I decreed the quarantine, he (for Mauricio Macri) called me and recommended that we do not quarantine, that we leave all the people on the street and that those who had to die should die," said Fernández.

"He believes that and acts accordingly. I, thank God, I am very far from that. For me, politics is taking care of people's health and preserving work," he said.

Meanwhile, through a letter to Argentines, Macri clarified that "the version" given by the President is false. The former president said that in the telephone conversation he showed his "support at a time of difficult decisions for the country and for the whole world."

"I want to remind the President that nothing is more important for a political leader - and especially for a president - than his word. The credibility of the presidential word must be cared for like a treasure," he said.
