Beirut-Sana
The Syrian ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdel Karim, confirmed that Syria would provide all possible assistance to the Syrians who were victims of the explosion in the Beirut port.
He pointed out that Syria, with its leadership, army and people, and with the help of its allies and friends in the region and the world, will triumph over the terrorism it is exposed to and rebuild what the unjust war against it has destroyed.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Abdel-Karim provided financial and in-kind food assistance to the families of the martyrs, the wounded and the missing, which was appreciated by the embassy of their country for this initiative.
In the context, dozens of volunteers from the Association of Syrian Workers in Lebanon participated in cleaning the streets of Beirut and the southern suburbs and removing the rubble resulting from the explosion in the Beirut port this month.
Mustafa Mansour, head of the Syrian Workers' Association, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that "the participation came in solidarity with the Lebanese in general and the people of Beirut and its suburb, especially after the painful explosion that occurred in the port."
A large explosion occurred in the Beirut port on the fourth of August, which led to dozens of victims and more than 6 thousand injured.
