According to information from BFMTV confirmed by Le Figaro , Michel Fourniret is preparing to be heard by Sabine Khéris, the examining magistrate in charge of the file of the disappearance of Estelle Mouzin. The 78-year-old's auditions will take place on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 August.

They occur less than a week after Monique Olivier, the ex-wife of "the ogre of the Ardennes", indicated that Michel Fourniret had abducted the 9-year-old girl on January 9, 2003 in Guermantes (Seine-et-Marne ), had sequestered her in her sister's house in Ville-sur-Lumes (Ardennes), had raped her and finally killed her. A partial DNA trace of Estelle Mouzin was also found on a mattress during excavations organized at the end of June in this house.

These major advances result from a hearing with Monique Olivier dating from November 2019. In front of Sabine Khéris, the septuagenarian had contradicted the alibi so far provided by Michel Fourniret for the disappearance of Estelle Mouzin. "The ogre of the Ardennes" was then indicted for "kidnapping and sequestration followed by death". He finally admitted the facts in March 2020, without revealing the whereabouts of the girl's body. This question should be at the heart of the hearings on Tuesday and Wednesday.
