Hamas announced tonight (Monday) a 48-hour closure following fears of a corona eruption in the heart of the Gaza Strip. This is after the Ministry of Health diagnosed four Palestinians with the virus who were outside the isolation centers. 

According to the terrorist organization, a total curfew will be imposed in all districts and work will be suspended in all institutions, buildings and public facilities, including wedding halls, mosques and more. 

According to Hamas, the closure is necessary so that the medical staff can map the areas where there is a risk of an outbreak and isolate the infected. This is after four more people became infected with the corona virus.

It was further stated that during the next 48 hours, the residents will be banned from leaving their homes and will have to cooperate fully with the authorities. Hamas has called on civilians to contact the Ministry of Health in any case where there is a suspicion of infection.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Health said at the press conference that cutting off the fuel supply was making it difficult for the medical system and called on the world to help the Gaza Strip deal with the corona crisis, which joins the economic, health and humanitarian crisis in the Strip.
