A situation of terror and anguish was the one experienced by a girl and her parents when the youngest four years old was swept away by a sea current while she was on a large float in the shape of a unicorn.
Passengers and the crew of a ferry also suffered, who witnessed how the girl was adrift almost half a mile from the coast, although she was finally rescued safe and sound.

It all happened on the coast of Antirrio, Greece, when the little girl and her parents spent a day on the beach.
The girl was enjoying the waves on the shore in her float when she was swept away by the current that carried her away from the coast and carried her out to sea.

The Salaminomachos ferry was in the area to which the girl was going and the port authorities notified the crew of the boat. After locating her, they performed a rescue maneuver, brought her to safety and brought her aboard.
The ship's captain, Grigoris Karnesis, explained to Live News that when they approached the minor she was holding tightly to the float and was not moving, she was petrified: "She was in a state of shock ... When we got closer, she screamed."
