The photo aroused controversy. Alberto Fernández met last Saturday with Hugo Moyano and celebrated the meeting with an image in which they are seen with their partners, without a mask and far from respecting social distancing . That is why there were several who went to the crossing, accusing the President of a "bad example". Now, Dr. Florencia Cahn, a government advisor, has joined the criticism.

"It was very shocking to see the image ," the infectologist, representative of the Argentine Society of Vaccination and Epidemiology , told Continental in the Advisory Committee in the context of the pandemic.

According to his vision, the photo generated rejection in him as well as "any image of people all together without a mask." But he emphasized that in this case "we are talking about the President of the Nation" with all that that implies.

When asked if she or any other member of the advisory committee could or could communicate with the president to highlight what was wrong in that image, she warned that they do not have "a direct arrival" to Alberto as everyone believes.

"There is a fantasy that thinks that we have a WhatsApp group with the President and a direct arrival and we can tell him things when it occurs to us. This is not so," he clarified. And he continued: "We are a technical group that advises, but he has his medical team and we, if we have the opportunity, give our opinion, but we cannot pick up the phone and speak with the President ."

Florencia, daughter of the renowned doctor Pedro Cahn, also referred to the painful record of cases and deaths that occurred on Monday night and wanted to make it clear that "the data we are seeing does not reflect what happened in the last 24 hours "because the data load is not always immediate.

"There is a delay of a few days that causes cases to accumulate after a weekend to notify. That can cause them to accumulate in one day," he stressed.

And he said that for the Government in reality "there are other measurements that are made in real time and are more precise" than the reports raised by the Ministry of Health. At the same time, he stated that "changing the way of reporting could bring a problem."

"The delays occur because basically the staff is collapsed . The load requires uploading the file to a system and that sometimes takes time. The collapse of the health system does not have to do only with intensive care beds," he said.
