The discovery is so unusual that it raises suspicions. In Chubut, a ship from the Conarpesa firm reported having found about ten kilos of cocaine of the highest purity that, they say, got caught in their fishing nets at sea.

The particular story began this Monday around 9:00 p.m. , when the fishing vessel "Conarpesa I" was in operation off the coast of the city of Puerto Madryn, some 180 nautical miles away.

While working, one of the networks deposited its incredible content on the ship's conveyor belt: eight packages packed with tape.

Quickly, the captain guarded the cargo and notified the Comodoro Rivadavia Prefecture, which arranged for it to be transferred to the Luis Piedrabuena dock in Madryn.

The eight packages would have been hooked on the networks.

Upon arriving at the scene, prefecture agents carried out the operation on the boat itself and with sailors from another vessel as witnesses.

Upon opening the packages, they discovered that it was cocaine which, according to anti-drug tests, is of the highest purity.

As it transpired, it would be about ten kilos of the drug , of which its origin is unknown, beyond the doubts of the fishermen's version.

The investigation was in charge of Federal Court No. 2, in charge of Gelvez.
