In a brief briefing given today (Tuesday) by Corona's professor Prof. Roni Gamzo, he said that morbidity in Israel is among the highest in the world, referring directly to the ultra-Orthodox population and Arab society, noting that "our situation is very complex." Behind these lies a social and political reality that challenges the struggle to spread the plague.

Gamzo claimed the gatherings were "truly a disaster." The project associates who spoke with Walla! NEWS said that aimed mainly at some phenomena. This is more common in Arab society, they say, pertaining to events in which mass catering takes place. "It is created because of the nature of the company, the parties, the weddings, there is a widespread phenomenon of catering there," one of them explained. "It happens in mass occurrences, also of families. This is a problem that is less encountered in the world. He spoke about the nature of the connection. The family pathology of Arab and ultra-Orthodox society is one that intensifies the infection." In terms of alarming phenomena in terms of the spread of morbidity in Corona in ultra-Orthodox society, he also noted the social connections - in studies at yeshivas, weddings and homes.

According to Prof. Gamzo, 28% of all morbidity in Israel stems from Arab localities, and about 18% from ultra-Orthodox localities. According to him, in addition to his efforts to harness the population itself, he also addresses its leaders and the heads of the authorities. According to his associate, apart from this action and the directive to increase enforcement - he does not have the tools to stop the actual illness.

According to a source involved in the details, Prof. Gamzo decided that despite the political irregularities that could be implied in his remarks against the two populations, he chooses to do so in the belief that this will eventually reach the citizens. Indeed, in his remarks today, he sharply criticized the Jewish-religious population who choose to travel to Uman, and made it clear that he would do anything to prevent mass flights to Ukraine on Rosh Hashanah.

And despite his reference to point populations - Prof. Gamzo insists on his position not to impose point closures on certain cities - but sounds more open to imposing a general closure in the near future. "I said that closing a belt around a city is useless because you do not improve anything like that, it does not help," he said today in response to a Walla! NEWS. "In a general closure in the country, there will be an effect. We know this effect everywhere. I said in the past that it is not the step that even if there is a high morbidity as there is today, I preach to it. I try to avoid and contain the morbidity, produce infrastructure systems to lower it. If there is "A doubling rate of ten days or a week - so we have to do a 'shut down'. Reduce contacts, close a lot of areas, as we did in March. I'm not in favor of this thing, but it must be on the table."

A medical source who spoke with Walla! NEWS explained that behind the decision to avoid spot closures is also the sensitive issue of the feeling of discrimination in the Arab population. "This is not a simple situation," he said. "Political factors also have broader considerations. They want there to be no discrimination against the sector that sends them to the Knesset. And we in no way discriminate against a sector because it is. We need to help them overcome. Unfortunately they do not read the media, and should be spoken to in this way. "He says he does not want to impose a closure on them. It is very sensitive, it is a very thin border. If an imposition is imposed on a city - the feeling of discrimination will be much more felt, and they want to avoid it."

An essential point that Prof. Gamzo mentioned in the margins of his remarks today is the statement that if he does not soon receive the powers he needs in order to apply his teaching - he will be forced to resign from his position. One of the experts close to him who spoke with Walla! NEWS said that despite the projector's frustration that he was not getting powers - this never got in the way of his professional decisions. "He comes and asks what is right to do professionally. He never said if he was afraid it would not work for him in front of the political echelon. There is always a gap between what is wanted and what is present. This period is so very complex," he said.
