Barcelona's 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich in Lisbon unleashed a perfect storm and it is still unknown how far the derivations will go at the Catalan club. The highest point seems to have reached this Tuesday, with the news that Lionel Messi announced to the Catalan club his intention to leave the club without paying a peso, something that they will not accept easily. And meanwhile, Arturo Vidal, whom Ronald Koeman had told him the day before that he would not take it into account for his attempt to rebuild the team, appeared from Twitter with a forceful message.

Timely, Vidal's text, accompanied by a montage of photos, was broadcast on the Chilean's account minutes after the news that Messi wanted to leave Barcelona exploded around the world.

The trans-Andean left a message that could be interpreted as an optimistic vision given the difficulty posed by his departure from the club, but it can also be taken with a belligerent tone. "When you corner a tiger he doesn't give up, he fights, " he said.

The great movements in the Barcelona squad had started this Monday when, after meeting with the brand-new Barcelona technical secretary, Ramón Planes , and with the executive director (CEO), Oscar Grau , Ronald Koeman spoke with Vidal, the Uruguayan Luis Suárez, Croatian Ivan Rakitic and Frenchman Samuel Umtiti to inform them that they should find a new team.

Before Koeman had spoken with Messi on Friday to tell him that he was the pillar of his project, but the meeting, in which the Argentine responded that he looked "more outside than inside the team" seemed to be counterproductive.

Not only did the Dutchman's plan not seem to convince him, but also the leak to the media of what was discussed at the meeting ended up unleashing Leo's fury against some Barcelona leaders whom he was already looking askance.

Of course, the announcement that Suárez, his great friend, would leave the club could not have helped either, although Leo welcomed the eventual arrival from Inter of Lautaro Martínez, one of the great promises of world football.

Regarding Vidal, it does not seem that at the age of 33 he will lack offers to continue in elite football. According to Chilean media, he has already received a call from Andrea Pirlo, a brand-new Juventus coach, from Turin to return to the club where he already shone from 2011 to 2015. He wants to fight, from what he told on Twitter, he is not lacking.
