People's Assembly Speaker Hammouda Sabbagh sent 9 letters on behalf of the People's Assembly to the heads of international parliamentary federations and regional and Arab parliamentary assemblies denouncing the ongoing crime committed by the Turkish regime and its mercenaries by cutting off drinking water to the city of Hasakah and its vicinity and calling for pressure on it to stop its crime and deliver drinking water immediately to more than a million Syrian citizen.
In his letters to Gabriela Cuevas Barron, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Martin Chungung, Secretary-General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Karim Darwish, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, Ambassador Sergio Piazzi, Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, Dr. Muhammad Reza Majidi, Secretary General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, and Al-Hassan Bala Sakandi, President of the Union of Councils of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Muhammad Qureshi Nias, Secretary General of the Federation of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Engineer Atef Tarawneh, President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, “Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament,” Fayez al-Shawabkeh, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliamentary Union, condemned Sabbagh's ongoing heinous crime. The Turkish regime and its mercenaries cut off drinking water for more than a million Syrian citizens in the city of Hasaka and its vicinity.
Sabbagh called on the heads and members of parliaments in all international, regional and Arab parliamentary organizations to exert all forms of pressure on the Turkish regime to immediately stop this heinous crime and deliver drinking water immediately to more than a million Syrian citizens in the city of Hasaka and its vicinity.
