Today (Tuesday) it was announced that the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office has filed an indictment in the city district court against a 45-year-old defendant for rape and indecent acts committed on a ten-year-old girl, his partner's daughter.
According to the indictment, the defendant raped the girl on three occasions, touched a large number of occasions on her hidden organs, and also used to watch her shower and watch pornographic films with her.
The prosecution asked the court to detain the defendant until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexually harassing minors
Meanwhile, Unit 105 (the unit for the prevention of violence against minors) of the police yesterday arrested a 23-year-old resident of Kiryat Gat suspected of sexual harassment and committing an indecent act on social networks against minors under the age of 14.
Upon receipt of the information, an investigation was opened. The suspect was taken for questioning and was brought to the Ashkelon Magistrate's Court today for a hearing on the extension of his detention. The suspect's detention has been extended until next Sunday. The investigation continues.
The police said: "The Israel Police will continue to fight resolutely against the serious phenomenon of sexual abuse of minors through the network and will use all means to prosecute the offenders who harm the bodies and privacy of minors in general, and calls on the public to contact Hotline 105 to report crimes against minors online."
