The IDF announced last night (Tuesday) a security incident in the Menara area on the Lebanese border, the details of which are under investigation. Residents reported echoes of explosions and were called to be vigilant.

Following this, the residents of the localities of Yiftach, Menara, Margaliot, Misgav Am and Malkia were instructed not to go out into the open, including agricultural work. The IDF also demanded that the residents stay in their homes, and upon receiving the warning, enter the available protected area immediately and stay there for ten minutes.

In the Kiryat Shmona municipality, we informed the residents that following the security incident, the army blocked deputies in the Malkia area, Ramot Naftali and Margaliot. It was also reported that "the echoes of the explosions are ours and will continue during the night. At this stage, the routine in Kiryat Shmona continues."
