Geneva - Sana

The guarantors of the Astana process, "Russia, Iran and Turkey", condemned the repeated Israeli attacks on the Syrian territories and the illegal deal between the United States and the "Qasd" militia to steal Syrian oil.

A joint statement issued by the guarantor countries after their consultations on Syria in Geneva today, reported by Russia Today, said: “The parties have expressed their objection to the illegal confiscation of oil revenues and their transfers that must go to Syria. They also condemned the illegal oil deal between a company holding an American license and the unconfigured formations. Legal.

The statement affirmed that the ongoing Israeli military attacks against Syria violate the principles of international law, harm the sovereignty of Syria, and threaten security and stability in the region.

The statement also condemned the unilateral coercive economic measures against Syria, which were imposed in conjunction with the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, announcing its intention to hold a new international meeting on Syria within the framework of the Astana platform as soon as possible.

The statement also renewed the commitment of the three parties to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and their determination to "combat all forms and manifestations of terrorism and confront separatist agendas that are detrimental to the integrity of the Syrian territories."

The statement indicated an agreement to continue cooperation in order to achieve the complete elimination of terrorist organizations such as "ISIS", "Al-Nusra Front", "Al-Qaeda" and other groups associated with it, which the United Nations classifies as terrorists.

The heads of the guarantor states of the Astana process, in a joint statement after their meeting in Moscow early last month, reaffirmed their commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria and the continuation of cooperation until the final elimination of terrorism there, stressing their rejection of any separatist plans that violate Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
