Sparkling aprons

A real girl's dream and definitely something special are the dirndls that the designer Astrid Söll designed for Trachten Angermaier: it glitters and sparkles everywhere, silk rustles softly, silver-colored chains with deer and deer jingle above them. She sends her customers to the Oktoberfest with transparent aprons, embroidered with rhinestones, pearls and intricately woven applications. For this she uses fabrics with baroque motifs or the finest silk. “My Charinis are particularly in demand,” says the designer. The little pendants dangle from the bodice with all sorts of animals from cats to deer - “that's what women like,” says Söll.

Tight and good

What men will like is already clear: bodices. No, not for underneath, but in traditional costume style with a skirt or leather pants. Designer Christine Eichenseher creates sophisticated, elaborate and, above all, eye-catching unique items. Laces and braids adorn the figure flatterers, which - because they are a little longer than usual bodices - also help women with a little more volume to achieve a great silhouette. If you like it a bit cheesy, you can button an application on the front, such as a painting by Empress Sissi.

Away with the blouse

Some dirndl models have already incorporated the corset this year - making the blouse superfluous. Verena and Tanja Brock have designed corset-style dirndls for ENA-Trachten that are reminiscent of the 1950s - according to the motto vintage meets Bavarian folklore. With an elastic band on the back, they adapt to the figure. Petticoats made of tulle and romantic patterns make the costume look more girlish and playful than traditional models. Without the blouse, the dirndl sometimes looks more like a summer dress than a traditional costume - a change in the Oktoberfest wardrobe, especially for young women.

Classic in trend

If the dirndl couture or the bodice costume is a bit too conspicuous for you, you can breathe a sigh of relief: the classic dirndls are always in demand and in great demand this year: with a floral pattern, checkered, dotted, with a velvet top or in cotton, with cotton or Silk apron - however you like it. “The traditional costume is becoming more traditional again this year, the dirndl longer,” says Benedikt Daller, head of “Daller Tracht”. Most of his customers choose a dirndl that wraps around their knees. “There has been a trend in recent years that it has to be as short and noticeable as possible,” says Daller. “It's going back now. The women want a traditional costume that they can also wear outside the Oktoberfest. ”This is also confirmed by Eileen Meissenberger, stylist at Angermaier:“ This year, many people like to wear dirndls with linen tops and peplums at the back. ”According to the statement by Expert in all berry tones, plus olive green, champagne colors and other skin tones.

For cold days

Of course, everyone hopes for the best - but if it's still cold, you should be prepared. You can never go wrong with a nice cardigan. The lovingly handcrafted are particularly beautiful. If the wool scratches, switch to cotton or cover your shivering shoulders with a pashmina scarf. Still in trend: triangular scarves with fringes, smaller neckerchiefs or scarves. It is easy to start a conversation with special prints. For example, there is a Munich scarf made of silk with Munich landmarks such as the Frauenkirche and Bavaria printed on it, along with many colorful hearts.

A part of the body that is extremely strained when lifting a beer mug at the Oktoberfest and therefore deserves special attention: the wrists. There are knitted wrist warmers for them - ideally to match the same cardigan.

Only a select group of people sees it, but if you want to go with the fashion below, you have to say goodbye to the simple: A hit this year is Lola Paltinger's underwear with leopard print, stately deer and pink bows.

Only good with a hat

The accessory for this year's Oktoberfest is undoubtedly the hat. Whether in straw or felt, with a feather or chamois mustache and also in fresh colors such as berries or green grass - you never go wrong. When it comes to bags, women choose practical above all. "Most people choose a small handbag to hang across their chest," says Eileen Meissenberger. This means that you have your hands free and still quickly notice thieves. The Tascherl are available for every taste: Made of felt or leather, square and heart-shaped, with “Spatzl” imprint or deer on it. If you like it more unusual - no problem. How about a loden clutch with a silver deer head on the front?

Trends for men

While the dirndls are getting longer again, the men are showing more and more legs: “The short leather trousers have increased significantly compared to the waist trousers,” says Benedikt Daller. The latter covers the knee - and thus apparently too much for many men. "All age groups prefer to take the shorter version this year," says Daller. And around the top? For the fashion-conscious gentleman, it has to be a traditional velvet vest. "The trend has been around for two or three years, and this year we have an increase in the West," says the expert. "The colors green and red work best - so the traditional models too."
