The French health authorities announced the registration of more than five thousand new cases of Coronavirus during the past twenty-four hours, in the largest daily toll since last May, days before students return to their schools nationwide.
Agence France-Presse quoted the French Public Health Authority as saying in a statement today that it had recorded 5,429 new cases of the virus, after 3,304 cases were recorded yesterday.
The daily toll has crossed the threshold of 4,000 injuries several times in the past few days, before millions of students return to their schools on the first of next September.
The French Public Health Authority, due to “problems” in the information systems, was unable to announce the number of people who were transferred to hospitals, or who are undergoing treatment in intensive care departments, or who died with the virus in the past twenty-four hours.
According to the latest count, 30,544 people have died from the Corona virus in France.
