Two American officials announced today that a number of American soldiers were injured in an accident that took place with Russian forces in Syria.
Reuters quoted an official, who requested anonymity, as saying that the injuries were the result of a collision and not the result of any exchange of fire.
For his part, the other official indicated that the incident took place "this week" in northeastern Syria and that "the injuries were minor", without giving any additional details.
The Pentagon and the US Army Central Command, which oversees US forces in the region, declined to comment on the matter.
The American occupation forces are present illegally in the Syrian Jazira region to steal oil and the Syrian underground wealth, while Russia has been participating in the war on terror alongside the Syrian Arab Army since September 2015 at the request of the Syrian Arab Republic, and during this period, terrorist organizations have suffered heavy losses.
