Autumn and winter in the Tegerseer Valley: take refuge in the iodine-sulfur bath when the weather is bad

Do you love to relax in the thermal baths in cool temperatures? The iodine-sulfur bath in Bad Wiessee am Tegernsee not only lets you forget all everyday worries: your skin and your immune system also benefit - iodine-sulfur baths should even have a rejuvenating effect. A rejuvenation of the cells can be observed, as emerges from the "Jungbrunnen-BERG study" by the PMU Salzburg. At the same time, an iodine-sulfur bath stimulates blood circulation and deacidifies the body.

Tobogganing on the Wallberg

In winter, go on one of the longest natural toboggan runs in Germany

Sledging, also known as tobogganing, is not only popular with children: adults can also enjoy themselves on the many toboggan runs on Lake Tegernsee - even those without children. And for good reason: the 6.5-kilometer natural toboggan run on Wallberg near Rottach-Egern takes you back to childhood and brings back fond memories from the old days. The descent on the toboggan run takes half an hour; if you don't have your own toboggan, you can easily borrow one at the Wallbergbahn valley station. But be careful: The cable car on Wallberg is also very demanding: physical fitness, the right equipment and caution are required at all times.

Winter idyll Tegernseer Tal: winter hiking from hut to hut

When the snow falls softly again in the winter season from January to often mid-April and the fir trees and slopes look like candy floss, then it is time for extensive snowshoe hikes, winter hikes or skiing on Tegernsee. In addition, countless well-groomed trails invite you to spend the winter day outside with cross-country skiing. Can't get enough of winter sports? Then come to Tegernsee and try something new - for example ice stock sport or a ski tour. If you are lucky, you will also experience a natural spectacle that on average only presents itself every seven years: a completely frozen Tegernsee, on which the sun's rays seem to dance on the ice.
