Update from August 26, 7:05 a.m.: The RKI corrected the number of new corona infections reported on Tuesday in Germany to 1576 on Wednesday morning . On the previous evening, there was talk of 1507 new cases. The value is almost 300 infections higher than on Tuesday. On Saturday, with over 2000 new infections, a new record was measured since the highs in April.

The numbers have been rising steadily since July , which at times were only in the lower three-digit range. The fear of not being able to understand all the chains of infection if the number of cases increases too much is growing. Update from August 25, 10:45 p.m.: The number of new corona infections is also increasing significantly in Germany . As reported by Focus Online with reference to the data from the state health and social ministries early Tuesday evening, 1507 new corona cases were detected within 24 hours .

Coronavirus in Germany: RKI announces results of antibody study

Update from August 25, 11:34 a.m.: The first results of the antibody study in Bad Feilnbach were announced today at the press conference of the Robert Koch Institute . Coronavirus: German soldiers infected in Afghanistan

Update from August 24, 4:26 p.m .: Two German soldiers from the NATO training mission in Afghanistan have become infected with the corona virus.
