Swedish climate activist Greta Thonberg returned to school after a year off to promote the fight against climate change. "My year off from school is over, and it feels wonderful to be back in school again," the girl wrote yesterday (Monday) in an Instagram post alongside a photo of herself with a schoolbag on her side, her hands resting on a bicycle handlebars.
This week, high school was resumed in Sweden, but it is not clear where the girl who made headlines will study after she began her only demonstrations outside the Swedish parliament in Stockholm two years ago, on August 20, 2020. Students from around the world joined her protest, holding large demonstrations. She was invited to speak at UN committees and the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Last week she and other young activists met with German Chancellor Angela Carmel on climate issues. However, the outbreak of the Corona virus has prevented the continuation of the "Fridays for the Future" protest movement in recent months and its public profile has dropped.
Thonberg was named Time magazine's Youngest Person of the Year, and was even nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
