The IDF attacked an underground infrastructure of the Hamas terrorist organization in the southern Gaza Strip early Wednesday morning. Earlier, Palestinian sources reported that IAF aircraft bombed "agricultural land" in the Khan Yunis area. The fires that were lit yesterday. 

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip last night announced two new active patients who had been diagnosed at Shafa's Hospital, in the internal medicine department - and had not come into contact with the four patients who had been exposed the day before. 

After samples were taken from 20 people staying at the medical center, and with the arrival of the results - it was discovered that the two women were infected with the virus. This is the second time this week that patients in the Gaza Strip have been diagnosed outside the isolation centers for those entering the Rafah crossing. 

This brought the number of active patients in the Gaza Strip to 43, with the exception of four family members living in a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, and the two women in the medical center, all of whom are staying in the isolation centers. Shafa's Hospital itself has been declared a closed center until it becomes clear that there are no more patients. In the meantime, everyone who stayed at the place was asked to undergo an examination. 

On Monday evening, the Hamas Interior Ministry in the Gaza Strip announced a general closure for 48 hours, during which residents will be banned from leaving their homes, and public institutions will be closed, including mosques, universities, government offices and more. Despite this, masses arrived yesterday for the funeral of four Islamic Jihad operatives, who were killed in an explosion on Monday evening. Apparently, the terrorists were killed during preparations for terrorist activities.

Qatari envoy Muhammad al-Amadi entered the Gaza Strip last night after meeting with senior Israeli security officials. The head of the Qatari Rehabilitation Committee and his deputy, Khaled al-Hardan, are expected to meet with the leader of the terrorist organization, Yahya Sinwar. At the same time, the UN envoy to the Middle East, Nikolai Mladnov, revealed that his organization had asked Israel to return the fuel supply to the Gaza Strip power station in light of recent corona diagnoses.  

Despite the mediation efforts on the part of Qatar and Egypt, incendiary and explosive balloons continued to blow towards the Gaza Strip yesterday. While a balloon unit called the "Jihadist Sword" issued a statement with a message to Israel and the mediators, according to which they will continue to ignite until the siege is lifted unconditionally or without restriction. In another announcement, it was stressed that despite the health crisis, all units will continue to operate.
