Today, the Italian health authorities announced the registration of 1,367 new cases of the Coronavirus, which represents the highest daily death toll from the pandemic since last May.
Italian media quoted the Ministry of Health as saying that 13 deaths from the virus were recorded during the last 24 hours, noting that the death toll from the virus had risen throughout the country since the start of the outbreak to 262,540 cases.
The daily death toll in Italy exceeded the 1,000 mark on the 22nd of this month, before 1,210 cases were recorded the next day.
