The Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside provided about 5,000 masks, 500 liters of sterile gel and dozens of sterile soap boxes in both solid and liquid forms, and a floor sterilizer to Ibn Al-Nafees Medical Complex, as part of its initiative to support the health sector.
According to a room statement, Sanaa received a copy of it. The amount of materials provided from the room within the first phase of Damascus public hospitals amounted to about 20 thousand masks, more than 1,600 liters of sterile alcohol gel, and 155 boxes of sterile soap, disinfectant for floors and disinfectants.
In a statement to SANA, the director of the Ibn Al-Nafees Surgical Hospital, Dr. Nizar Ibrahim pointed out the importance of the initiative, which reflects the concerted efforts of public and private agencies to support the health sector to enable it to provide medical services in hospitals and health centers to citizens more effectively in light of the current conditions in public hospitals, pointing to the existence of consumption Especially great for Coronavirus patients of oxygen, medicines, preventive materials and treatment services that are provided free of charge.
For his part, the secretary of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, the head of the chemical sector, Muhammad al-Hallaq, confirmed that the chamber decided to assist and support the health sector and the medical and nursing staff to confront the Corona virus pandemic by collecting contributions from industrialists and providing preventive materials.
Al-Hallaq pointed out that the first phase of the initiative included “Al-Assad University Hospitals, Al-Mouwasat University, Damascus and Ibn Al-Nafees”, provided that the second phase of the initiative includes the health sector in the countryside of Damascus.
