Al-Akhbar learned from Palestinian sources that although Qatari envoy Muhammad al-Amadi had transferred the monetary grant to the Gaza Strip Post Bank, Hamas had sent a scathing message to Israel in light of the spread of the corona in the Gaza Strip in recent days. According to the report, the terrorist organization threatened that "the next few days will be hot." A message was also conveyed that the economic and medical situation in the Strip needs to be urgently improved.

According to the report in al-Akhbar, another message conveyed is that the terrorist organizations will deteriorate the security situation if their demands are not met. Among the demands, an urgent supply of medical equipment to fight the corona virus like test kits and respirators.

The Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported that the Qatari envoy met yesterday with Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip Yahya Sinwar and other senior officials. The report states that the emissary provided Israel's response to Hamas' previous demands for a return to calm.

Informed sources told the newspaper that al-Amadi conveyed Israel's insistence on stopping all disturbances at the border - before reopening the fishing area, resuming traffic at the crossings and removing all restrictions on fuel supplies.

According to the report, the sources stressed that al-Amadi sent another message that Israel does not insist on preventing projects in the Gaza Strip, but the global corona crisis has delayed them.
