The health authorities in Brazil announced that more than 47,000 infections and 1,086 new deaths from the Coronavirus were recorded in the country during the past 24 hours.
Media quoted the Brazilian Ministry of Health as saying that the number of Coronavirus infections during the past day increased by 47,161 cases, bringing the total number to 3 million 717,156 cases.
The ministry added that the death toll from the virus increased by 1,086, bringing the total number of pandemic victims in the country to 117,666 people.
Brazil is the second country in the world in terms of the number of infections and deaths recorded with the Corona virus, after the United States.
