The notes have the official Schliersee logo, a clear message and are increasingly attached to the legally parked cars of bathers on Schliersee. Now the police are investigating.

  • Day trippers who parked legally in Carl-Schwarz-Strasse on Schliersee have recently received strange parking tickets.
  • They were threatened with "towing" and a "high warning fee", backed by the official Schliersee logo.
  • Now the police are investigating the case.

Schliersee - The park chaos in Schliersee has probably never been as bad as this Corona summer . The minds of many residents of the affected streets heated up to the same extent as the temperatures rose. Now there is a small escalation level. In Carl-Schwarz-Strasse, a hitherto unknown person distributed “parking notices” - with false claims and improper use of a Schliersee logo.

The park situation near the Schliersee is extremely tense, especially in bathing weather. The residents of the surrounding streets also suffer. The problem in Carl-Schwarz-Straße right next to the lido is that there are more people living in the residential complex than there are parking spaces on the property and underground car park. So the cars have to take to the streets, and when the day trippers are already there - they are not only residents of Munich, but also many people from neighboring communities - the locals go away empty-handed. The Schliersee town hall shows understanding that this causes annoyance. For the remedy that the stranger has now resorted to, but not.

Fake parking ticket at Schliersee: Mother calls town hall's attention

The matter was brought to the light of day by a woman who came to the town hall with the said note, as reported by Klaus Doormann from the Schliersee building authority . The lady named the place where her daughter had parked her car, and it was clear that the car was completely legitimate. This is shown differently on the “parking notice”. Parking, it says, "is only permitted to residents of the private condominium". In addition, there is talk of high warning fees and - incorrectly spelled out - "additional towing". The note is signed with "The Park Supervisor".

Doormann makes it clear: “These are public traffic areas. Everyone can stand there. ”Open air: Escape routes must be kept clear and there must be enough space for larger vehicles such as refuse collection and winter service, which is often disregarded in curve areas. That is why the municipality has marked extensive areas in this summer. for example on Josefstaler Straße. And with success, as Doormann says: "This measure has paid off." This is what residents reported to the town hall. Sure: very few are so cheeky as to stand on a hatched area. It is difficult to say whether the increased controls by the municipal service center Oberland - even the police moved out more on one weekend - have increased morale in the park.

One thing is clear: Parking is permitted in Carl-Schwarz-Straße, but of course not in the adjacent parking spaces on private property. Even if the “parking notice” were only distributed there, the note would not be legal. Because apparently in order to give the impression of an official letter, the stranger copied the tourist Schliersee logo. An obvious abuse of copyright and, according to the town hall, also a presumption of office. And because this is so, the community has brought a report to the police.

According to Doormann, it is unclear how many of the notes were distributed over what period of time. Not even how many guests took him seriously. Because, among other things, the somewhat amateurishly copied logo actually allows the forgery to be recognized. Nevertheless, it is important to inform the town hall that the municipality is not the author of the letter.

In the meantime, nothing can be changed about the tolerable situation. On days with a lot of visitors, other parking spaces would be full in no time. As the vacation comes to an end, the situation gradually eases. But next year the chaos will return - regardless of whether the coronavirus is manageable or not. As is well known, municipal politics sees the only possibility in a supra-local control of (parking) traffic. There are first approaches such as the ATS ticker. But it should be even more.
