Those who thought the Panamera were running out of steam and would step aside in favor of the latest Taycan electric sedan are at their cost. The second generation of the large sedan from Porsche has not said its last word and returns improved to begin the second part of its career. The three body variants are still in the catalog: sedan, Sport Turismo hunting station wagon and Executive extended wheelbase. The novelty is recognized by its more sporty shield inherited from that of the versions equipped with the optional SportDesign package, its generous side wing entrances and its rear light strip.

The engineers set out to review the engine program.

Particularly popular in France, the plug-in hybrid offer is marked by the introduction of a 4S E-Hybrid version delivering 560 hp, thanks to the combination of a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 of 440 hp and an engine electric 136 hp. The installation of a larger capacity battery, 17.9 kWh instead of 14.1 kWh previously, allows this large electrified sedan to claim a zero-emission range up by 30% compared to other hybrid versions of the range, i.e. 53 km according to the WLTP standard.

If the entry-level versions are renewed without change, the most efficient models continue the race for power. The V8 of the GTS version gains 20 hp to reach 480 hp while that of the Turbo S version displays a power of 630 hp, a gain of 80 hp compared to the old Turbo model, and a torque of 820 Nm. Result: By combining new chassis settings, the Turbo S managed to complete one lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes 29 seconds 81 '', setting a new record in the premium sedan category. In addition, all Panamera are equipped with an enriched multimedia system.

The new Panamera arrives in the network during the month of October. The price starts at 95,597 euros for the 2-wheel drive version (propulsion). The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid will be priced at 132,316 euros and the Panamera Turbo S 187,036 euros.
